Elder Mountain

Volunteer Fire & Rescue

We are Elder Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue

EMVFR serves the residential district atop Elder Mountain in Marion County, TN. We also serve a small portion of Cash Canyon Road on the northern end of Elder Mountain and provide mutual aid to other departments in Marion County.

We provide fire suppression, rescue, public service, and basic medical services to our community.

Our apparatuses include a 1980 Grumman tanker-pumper (Engine 1) and a 1994 American LaFrance quint (Quint 1).

A fire/rescue service needs more than just firefighters—other positions include medical responders of any level, rescue technicians, scene support personnel, maintenance personnel, and administrative personnel.

No prior experience is necessary. If you would like to be trained in any of these areas or have previous experience/skills/training, please contact us.

One of the key response groups is our medical team. According to FEMA's 2021 Overall Run Profile, two-thirds of fire department responses were medical or rescue related in 2019. If you have any medical experience—first aid/CPR/AED, EMT+, RN, etc.—you can make a difference in your community.

Donations

We are a relatively young fire/rescue service with limited equipment. If you are able to contribute equipment or funds, please contact us at donate@eldervfd.org.

Any amount or equipment would be greatly appreciated. Visit our Donations page for a list of needed equipment.
